# Acre Transition Roadmap

The Fall 2026 Transition Roadmap for the Acre Vault (acreBTC).

### Transition Plan Following June 2026 Announcement: Wind-Down for the acreBTC Vault

Following the June 2026 announcement, Acre will be winding down the acreBTC Vault. Deposits are paused for the transition period, and Acre Points stopped accruing on September 1, 2026. Redemption is open now, with no deadline. Please redeem your Bitcoin or tBTC when you're able. This documentation has been reorganized around the transition: use this roadmap for a quick overview, the Vault Transition FAQs for specific questions, and Get Help & Support if you run into trouble.

### AcreBTC Wind-Down Roadmap

**Deposits paused** — *Complete.* No new deposits are currently accepted. Deposits are paused for the transition period; there is no active timeline to reopen them.

**Acre Points stopped accruing** — *Complete.* Points no longer accumulate as of September 1, 2026.

**Redeem your Bitcoin** — *Action required.* Withdraw your deposit from the Acre vault. See Redeeming on bitcoin.acre.fi for the full walkthrough. *EVM support available:* deposits below the 0.01 BTC redemption limit can be redeemed on Ethereum.

**Redemption support** — *Ongoing.* Support tickets remain open for redemption-related issues through **November 30, 2026**. After that date, the team will no longer be available for technical support tickets, but redemptions themselves remain live indefinitely via Etherscan. See Get Help & Support.

### What this means for you

* **If you have a balance in the acreBTC vault:** redeem it. There's no deadline, but we recommend redeeming while the team is still available to help with any technical issues (through November 30, 2026).
* **If you're new to Acre:** deposits are not currently open. This documentation now exists primarily to help existing depositors redeem, and to preserve a record of how Acre worked. See Historical Reference for how the protocol operated before the wind-down.
