# Withdrawing on bitcoin.acre.fi

The acreBTC vault is winding down. Redeeming returns your deposit. This is now the primary and recommended action for every depositor. There's no deadline, but we'd encourage redeeming while the team is still available to help with technical issues, through November 30, 2026. See the Transition Roadmap for the full picture.

### Before you start

Your acreBTC balance is a number of shares, not a number of bitcoin. Before redeeming, see [Understanding Your Redemption Rate ](/start-here-acrebtc-vault-transition/understanding-your-redemption-rate.md)to calculate what you'll actually receive. Your amount is fixed when you submit your redemption request, not when it settles.

### What you'll need

* A supported wallet, signed in. See How to Sign In and Supported Wallets
* Your acreBTC balance visible in the dapp at [bitcoin.acre.fi](https://bitcoin.acre.fi)

### Redeeming via the Dapp to tBTC vs. native Bitcoin

You can redeem to either:

* **An EVM address, receiving tBTC directly.** This avoids the Threshold Network's 0.20% conversion fee, and is the only way to recover balances below the 0.01 BTC redemption limit. You can convert tBTC to native BTC at any time through the Threshold Network.
* **Native Bitcoin.** This goes through the Threshold bridge, which charges a 0.20% fee to convert tBTC to BTC, plus a small Bitcoin network fee. These are Threshold's fees. Acre charges no redemption fee. Acre's exit fee was set to zero in May 2026.

### If you deposited tBTC directly
