# tBTC Withdrawal Guide via bitcoin.acre.fi

Acre added Ethereum (EVM) address support during the wind-down for the vault, for anyone who deposited native Bitcoin and would like to avoid the Threshold bridge fee, or who needs to redeem a balance below the 0.01 BTC redemption limit. Selecting an EVM address lets you redeem directly to tBTC instead of bridging back to native Bitcoin.

[tBTC](https://threshold.network/) is a Bitcoin-backed asset issued by the [Threshold Network](https://threshold.network/), redeemable 1:1 for BTC. When you redeem to an EVM address, you receive tBTC rather than native Bitcoin. You can hold it, use it directly on Ethereum, or convert it to native BTC at any time through the Threshold Network.

This path is for anyone who **deposited native Bitcoin** and would like to redeem to tBTC. If you deposited tBTC directly, whether through the Acre smart contract or another interface, this isn't the right guide for you; see the [tBTC Withdrawal Guide ](/withdrawing-on-bitcoin.acre.fi/tbtc-withdrawal-guide-via-etherscan.md)via Etherscan instead.\

**Step by Step Guide:**

\
**Step 1:** Visit [https://bitcoin.acre.fi/dashboard](https://v2.acre.fi/dashboard) and sign in with your Bitcoin wallet.

**Step 2:** Press the “Withdraw” button on the Acre dashboard.

**Step 3**: Select "Withdraw tBTC to an Ethereum Address"

**Step 4**: Enter your Ethereum address starting with 0x. It must be an address you control on Ethereum. Do not use an exchange as your deposit address.

**Step 5:** Enter the amount of tBTC you would like to withdraw in the box labelled “Amount”. Alternatively, you can press “Max” to withdraw your entire balance.

**Step 6:** Press the “Withdraw” button to trigger your wallet for signing.

**Step 7:** Wait while your transaction is built. This can take a few minutes.

**Step 8:** Sign the transaction in your Bitcoin wallet.

**Step 9:** You withdrawal is on it’s way. It will arrive in the specified Ethereum address. You'll need ETH at that address to move or bridge it later.
