Deposit & Withdraw Durations

Acre deposits and withdrawals involve on chain transactions and confirmation times may vary based on network congestion. Deposits may take 1-3 hours to confirm fully on-chain.

Deposit Times:

• Bitcoin Confirmations: The time required for deposit depends on the amount of BTC:

  • Less than 0.1 BTC: 1 confirmation, ~10 minutes.

  • Between 0.1 BTC and 1 BTC: 3 confirmations, ~30 minutes.

  • 1 BTC or more: 6 confirmations, ~60 minutes.

• Ethereum Confirmations: These are typically ~1-5 minutes.

• Optimistic Minting: After the necessary confirmations, there is an additional 1-hour delay for the tBTC optimistic minting process. The stBTC deposit process completes in Acre shortly after the mint is complete.

Withdrawal Delays:

• The tBTC redemption process typically takes between 5 to 7 hours on average.

These delays ensure the secure conversion and transfer of BTC and tBTC across the involved networks.
